Job Postings

ASPP offers a free job listing service for all picture professional positions. The benefit of posting Help Wanted notices with the ASPP is that they are seen only by members who have been vetted as picture professionals. To submit job openings, please send an email with job location and instructions for applying to director@aspp.com.

Contribute to our Magazine

ASPP’s magazine, The Picture Professional, is published four times a year in March, June, September and December. Our magazine’s editorial content includes columns by respected experts in research and archiving, technology, photography law and the art and business of the professional imaging industry. To submit article or portfolio ideas, please read these detailed guidelines.

To advertise or subscribe to our magazine, purchase back issues, or for article reproductions and photographs, please contact director@aspp.com.

Submit News Items

If you have a news item to share, ASPP membership gives you a great free press release service via our News blog. Membership is as low as $125/year or $12/month, and we have other special levels available. Your announcements are sent automatically to all of our social media outlets and to direct subscribers. All posts are then wrapped up once a month and emailed in a newsletter to our targeted list of more than 4,500 industry people.

You may also include permissioned photographs or graphics if they correspond with the news item. Images must be jpg, no larger than 4×5 at 72 dpi, and might be resized or cropped. News items are included and edited at the discretion of ASPP. Send to newsletter@aspp.com.

Join us today and improve your image with ASPP’s press release service.

Become a Board Member

There are scores of reasons why serving your professional community is a rewarding experience. Not only will you be giving back, you’ll be thinking about our industry from a new perspective and you’ll be strengthening your visibility. National board members serve for two-year terms starting on even years (i.e., 2012-2013; 2014-2015) and Chapter boards serve starting on odd years (i.e., 2013-2014; 2015-2016). Calls for nominations are in October each year, and you can nominate yourself! If you are interested in becoming involved but not sure you want an actual board position, you may want to participate on one of our National or Chapter committees. Please get in touch with us via email to director@aspp.com for more information regarding becoming a board member, volunteering for a committee or perhaps simply attending a board meeting. All involvement is greatly encouraged!

Technical Support

If you need to contact someone about our website, the Member Area or your Find-a-Pro listing, please contact Darrell Perry, ASPP Executive Director via director@aspp.com.

Advertising and Sponsorship Opportunities

Through our regional chapters, national programs, quarterly magazine and informative website, ASPP provides an open exchange of information on industry ethics and standards, business practices, and the needs created by new technology and ideas. There are many opportunities where you can become involved in a specific area of interest, whether on a national or regional level. Please call (516) 500-3686 or write to director@aspp.com for more information.
