9:00 to 10:00 – Registration – Breakfast, Coffee and Networking
10:00 to 11:00 – Jenika McDavitt, Author of Psychology for Photographers, will give us insight on finding and reaching your ideal client using psychology
11:00 to 11:15 – Break
11:15 to 12:15 – Jessica Shepard, Photographer and Internet Guru, will share her tips and tricks on how to build your business using Google
12:15 to 1:15 – Lunch on your own in Georgetown, or bring a bag lunch and network
1:30 to 2:30 – Kristin Heydt –Marketing and Communications Consultant, will give us the 411 on marketing and social media that will help start and grow your business
2:30 to 2:45 – Cupcake break with Georgetown Cupcakes and Starbucks Coffee
2:45 to 3:45 – Skyler Showell, New York and DC-based Small Consultant, shares his tips on developing and sustaining smart small business practices
4:00 to 5:00 – Mary Kate Battles, with Mary Kate McKenna Photography, and Small Business Owner, will close our workshop with some real life skills every photographer can use in building a smart business, no matter if you have a storefront studio or you freelance for editorial clients.
5:00 – Wrap Up and Door Prizes

Transportation and Parking at BUCDIA:
Metro: Take the Orange or Blue Line to the Foggy Bottom stop (15 minute walk to BUCDIA) or Rosslyn stop (25 minute walk).
Shuttle: The Georgetown Metro Connection runs from 7:00am to midnight daily, picking up passengers at the Foggy Bottom and Rosslyn stops every ten minutes. The stop is a few minutes walk away from BUCDIA Bus: The DC Circulator runs from Union Station to Georgetown via M Street. Parking: There is a convenient parking garage adjacent to BUCDIA. $10 and stays open until midnight.
